Well, the painting of a room in my house that my daughter Anita and I have been working on, whenever the opportunity presented itself, is almost finished. We didn't work today as we were both too tired and sore. It's looking great!

I know this is not what I usually talk about but I find it to be a refreshing change from showing you pictures of slow progress in our area or posting depressing news.

WLOX-TV - The News for South Mississippi: Favre Rules Out Return To Playing Football: "GREEN BAY, Wis. After my early morning doctor's appointment, Anita and I continued the painting of the "plum" colored room in my house. Four hours later we called it quits for the day. I only worked an hour on the paint job as there were five children in the house, four of them old enough to ask for something to eat or drink in all of those four hours. "smile"

It seems on the Coast that many of us are trying to rebuild or repair what was lost and those like me are trying to revivify what we have. Unfortunately, there are the people in trailers who can't do anything. Plans are being made to get them out of the trailers because the levels of formaldehyde are high and causing health problems. Our paint job should be finished within a week! Thanks Anita!

Pascagoula Pier

Pascagoula Post Office

This morning promises to give way to a gorgeous day after an un- nerving threat of severe weather last night. Since Katrina, I have come a long way in regards to how I feel about the weather and what disaster could occur. When I heard the rain begin, I went to bed, slept through the entire thing and awakened to birds chirping. Can't beat that!

After Christmas I decided to spruce up the interior of my house with fresh paint. It has been going well as my daughter has been doing most of it. Anita is very accomplished in most everything she does. Painting and repairing is a special talent. When I paint, I am surrounded by drop cloths. she paints without one. Yesterday she and the kids were here and she started putting primer on my "catch all" room walls. The original color is a beautiful plum but too dark so I have chosen green which will bring "a little bit" of the outdoors inside.

Just documenting .. now I have to get my taxes to the CPA. See ya!
